The patrons of Diso are the apostles Philip and James the Less, celebrated on 1 May in the Church of Santi Filippo e Giacomo.
The festivities officially begin on 21 April, with the start of the novena and the exposition of the statues for the faithful's veneration. The civic events open on the evening of 30 April with the first musical lighting of the renowned illuminations. The town overlooks the Costa Otranto - Santa Maria di Leuca e Bosco di Tricase Regional Nature Park, and holds the Grotta dell'Acquaviva and Torre Capo Lupo.
