The patron of Novoli is Saint Anthony the Abbot, celebrated on 17 January; the other patron, Mary Most Holy of the Bread, is celebrated on the third Sunday of July.
The celebrations in honour of Saint Anthony the Abbot begin on 6 January with a solemn ceremony and end on 18 January with the so-called «Festa dei Paesani». The symbol of the feast and of Novoli is the Fòcara, an enormous bonfire of vine cuttings that can reach 25 metres in height: unique of its kind in Italy, it is perhaps one of the largest in Europe. The town also holds the Teatro Comunale and the Chiesa Madre di Sant'Andrea Apostolo.
