The patron of Ilbono is Saint John the Baptist, celebrated on 24 June; the municipality holds the church of San Giovanni Battista.
Today the traditional costume of Ilbono is worn only on the occasion of great popular feasts; for everyday life «su panniggeddu» was worn, as it still is today, and to go to church «su sciallu». The municipality also holds the Casa Museo Sa Domo de is Ducus and the Nuraghe Scerì.
