On Monte Arci obsidian was quarried and worked, and the workshops are still there to be seen. In the kitchen, meanwhile, there is a pasta that can only be made by hand: is lorighittas, two threads of dough twisted between the fingers into a little plait closed into a ring. Loriga, in Sardinian, means just that: a ring.

Three prehistoric monuments in this territory carry the same name, that of Luxia Arrabiosa: a domus de janas they call her oven, another hollow, and a menhir. Among the rock walls there is also a natural shape they call the Warrior's Head. And in a house at Morgongiori, in Sergio Atzeni's novel «Passavamo sulla terra leggeri», old Antonio tells the new keeper the whole history of the Sardinians.
