The patron of Scano di Montiferro is Saint Peter the Apostle, celebrated on 29 June; the municipality holds the church of San Pietro Apostolo.
The calendar of feasts includes Sant'Antoni 'e su fogu, on 17 January, with the great bonfire lit the evening before with wood donated by all the people of Scano, and the Beata Vergine Regina di Tutti i Santi, on 11 September, with celebrations from 10 to 13. At Carnival the «Cursa a Puddas» is held, a historic equestrian joust that runs from Sunday to Shrove Tuesday and ends on the day of the Pentolaccia.
