The patron saint of Burgio is Saint Anthony the Abbot, celebrated on 17 January, with the church dedicated to him. Among the town's many feasts and religious traditions, Holy Week stands out, with ancient and original rites of Good Friday and Easter, culminating in the celebrations honouring Saint Vitus the Martyr and Saint Luke the Evangelist, the so-called «Rigattiate»: a contest of religious prestige between the town's two confraternities.
Burgio preserves numerous other historic churches, including those of San Rocco, San Vito, Our Lady of Grace and Our Lady of Mount Carmel, as well as the Peralta Castle.
