A Baroque fort completed in 1640, grown from a 1580s watchtower above the harbour of Licata.

Augustinian church from 1566, a Marian sanctuary at Licata since 1973.

First work of the architect Angelo Italia, built in 1653 and given its present form in 1752.

Tradition dates the church to around 580, to Saint Silvia, mother of Pope Gregory the Great.
