Saint Stephen, patron of a town born from the myth of Acis and Galatea
📅 Every year, on 3 August
Aci Bonaccorsi celebrates Saint Stephen the protomartyr on 3 August; the name of its territory recalls the myth, narrated by Virgil and Ovid, of the young shepherd Acis in love with the nymph Galatea and killed by the Cyclops Polyphemus.
