The patron saint of San Cono is Saint Cono, celebrated on the second and third Sunday of May in the Church of the Holy Spirit and San Cono.
The procession continues throughout the night, collecting offerings from the faithful to the cry of «Viva Diu e Santu Conu», interrupted only for a pause of prayers and songs and, at midnight, for fireworks. The saint, a 2nd-century Greek bishop venerated by the Catholic and Orthodox churches, is celebrated in the universal liturgical calendar on 5 March; his figure is often overlapped, in hagiographic accounts, with that of Saint Conon the Gardener. The town also holds the Church of the Crocifisso and the church of Santa Maria delle Grazie.
