Assoro celebrates Saint Petronilla on 31 May; on Good Friday the Christ, called «u Munti», is carried on shoulders by the confraternity of the 64 barefoot «Nudi», followed by the confraternity of Mary Most Holy of Sorrows, in a ceremony lasting from 9 pm to 4 am.
