Serving as a primary commercial and tourist hub for the coastal and mountainous Nebrodi district, Capo d'Orlando has evolved far beyond its maritime roots. Once a modest fishing settlement on the northern shores of Sicily, the town now counts 13,260 residents and anchors the local economy in the Messina province.
The community officially secured its independence from the adjacent municipality of Naso on August 1, 1925. Modern travelers will encounter a highly developed coastal town, making it a straightforward and practical base for summer seaside holidays.
