The patron saint of Furnari is Saint Anthony of Padua, celebrated on 13 June with the town's main patronal feast. In the hamlet of Tonnarella, instead, Santa Maria di Trapani is celebrated on the second Sunday of August, while 8 September is the feast of the Madonna Addolorata.
For many years the image of the Crucifix was carried in procession on 3 May: on 27 August 1652, a few days after a wonder connected to it, a devotion arose that would last a long time, until in 1830 the archpriest Don Francesco Occhiuto decided the image should only go out on Good Friday. In 1930 the archpriest Genovese obtained from the Italian state the entrustment of the church of the Carmine to the Archpriestship, and the Madonna del Carmelo went back to being carried in procession through the town's streets.
