The municipal history of Rodì Milici saw a series of administrative shifts in the 20th century. Established in 1923 after separating from Castroreale, the Sicilian municipality was dissolved in 1927, restored in 1947, and officially renamed in 1948.
Located roughly 35 kilometres west of Messina and 160 kilometres east of Palermo, the town counts 2,130 residents. It encompasses the main centers of Rodì and Milici, alongside the hamlets of Pietre Rosse and Case Bruciate.
