The patron of Leni is Our Lady of Terzito, celebrated on 23 July, in the sanctuary dedicated to her, dating from 1630, in the hamlet of Valdichiesa: located in the central part of the island of Salina, in a hollow between Monte Fossa delle Felci and Monte dei Porri, it houses inside an 18th-century painting depicting the Virgin Mary protecting the Aeolian Islands.
The municipality of Leni comprises, besides the main town, the hamlet of Rinella, where the port stands at one of the few points in the territory suitable for landing, and Valdichiesa itself: the three stars appearing at the top of the municipal coat of arms symbolise precisely these three main settlements. The town also preserves the church of San Gaetano.
