The patroness of Alia is Mary Most Holy of Graces, celebrated on 2 July in the sanctuary dedicated to her. The feast draws, besides the many resident faithful, also numerous emigrants who return to their native town for the occasion: residents of Alia living in the United States, unable for obvious reasons to take part in the celebrations, had an identical copy made of the statue kept in Alia, carried in procession at the same time as the liturgical services of 2 July.
The town also preserves the Gurfa caves, as well as the churches of Sant'Anna and Santa Rosalia, the latter present in two distinct buildings, the larger one and the one called «la Piccola».
