The name says exactly what the comune is: the villages of Fiemme — Le Vìle in the local dialect. Ville di Fiemme was born on the first of January 2020 from the merger of Carano, Daiano and Varena, and it is a comune sparso: the town hall does not stand in a place called Ville di Fiemme, but in one of the three, at Daiano. The arms took longer than the comune itself: they were approved only two years later, at the beginning of 2022.
What the three villages brought with them is laid out as it was before. Each has its church: San Nicolò at Carano, San Tommaso at Daiano, Santi Pietro e Paolo at Varena. At Carano there is an ethnographic museum inside a house, the Casa Begna. At Varena the house where Antonio Longo was born, a priest and painter of the eighteenth century, is itself a museum. And at Daiano two buildings stand a short way from each other, four centuries apart: Castel Croda, which is a fortified house of the fifteen hundreds, and the Colonia Pavese, of 1934.
