On 29 June in Careggine there is the procession for the feast of the patron saint, Saint Peter.
In August, as part of the «Alpi Apuane in festa» event, the «Palio Tiro della Forma» takes place every year in the main village and the «Trofeo Comune di Careggine» footrace near Isola Santa. In October the Chestnut Festival of the Garfagnana municipalities stops at Careggine, and in summer the touring festival «Il Serchio delle muse» holds one of its musical events here. The municipality also holds the Torre di Careggine and the Chiesa di San Jacopo.
