Corciano celebrates Saint Michael on 8 May.
In 1416 Braccio da Montone tried to take Corciano and came off badly: the town held, and Perugia rewarded it with five years free of taxes. But then Braccio took a hundred and twenty castles in the countryside, came back, and this time the people of Corciano opened the gates themselves.
The village, round and ringed by walls, has stayed as it was: in the parish church hangs the Assumption painted by Perugino in 1513 and Benedetto Bonfigli's plague gonfalon of 1472, which portrays Corciano along its lower edge. The Della Corgna palace, now the town hall, is attributed to Galeazzo Alessi; there are 20,255 residents.
