The patrons of Agordo are Saints Peter and Paul, celebrated on 29 June in the archdiaconal abbey church of Santa Maria Nascente, first mentioned in a bull of Pope Lucius III in the 12th century: in the 19th century Pius IX raised it to an abbey church, granting the archdeacon the use of pontifical insignia precisely on the solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul.
The town also holds the Palio dei Cento, a folk and sporting event that each year sees the valley's eight hamlets compete against each other in Agordo's square, the Fiera del Bestiam livestock fair on the second Saturday of October, and, in Prompicai, the Sagra del Fanciullo dedicated to old-time games. The town also holds Villa Crotta-De Manzoni and Villa Fiore.
