The patron of Selva di Cadore is Saint Lawrence (san Lorenzo), celebrated on 10 August.
In the hamlet of Santa Fosca stands a small museum that reconstructs the history of the destuda fuoch, that is, the volunteer firefighters; at the end of the tour the visitor finds a panel about the mines and furnaces linked to the Fursil and the Via della Vena of Colle Santa Lucia. The municipality also holds the Chiesa Santa Fosca, the Chiesa San Osvaldo, the church of the Madonna della Neve and the Chiesetta di San Maurizio.
