The patrons of Fratta Polesine are Saints Peter and Paul, celebrated on 29 June in the Church of Santi Pietro e Paolo.
In November the town re-enacts the San Martino revolt against the Austrians of 11 November 1818, with the costumed «Banchetto carbonaro» dinner and a Sunday afternoon parade through the historic centre. On 26 December the town holds a living nativity, one of the longest-running in the Polesine. The town also holds the house-museum of Giacomo Matteotti, born in Fratta Polesine, and the National Archaeological Museum.
