The most important event in San Buono is the feast of the co-patron San Lorenzo (Saint Lawrence) with the traditional historical re-enactment procession of the town's feudal lords, held on 10 August; the following day is devoted to the patronal feast of San Buono. The municipality holds the Chiesa di San Lorenzo.
The cuisine of San Buono is simple and uses products of the agricultural tradition: sweets are eaten mostly during festivities and include calcionetti, scrippelle salate and cicerchiata, the latter prepared around Carnival.
