The patron saint of Roccavivara is Saint Emygdius, celebrated on 5 August. The feast, preceded by the blessing of the bread that families will later eat, is enlivened by «Le Traglie», a parade of carts drawn by oxen and other animals, adorned with wheat, which the people offer to the saint as a sign of devotion.
The town also carefully preserves the feast of Saint Joseph, which occurs twice a year: families who keep the traditions handed down by their ancestors invite guests to lunch, based on salt cod and cereals. Another local tradition is that of the Gallo di San Rocco. Roccavivara also preserves the sanctuary of Santa Maria del Canneto and the church of San Michele Arcangelo.
