Chamois celebrates Saint Pantaleon, usually on the last Sunday of July; the parish church dedicated to him, in the hamlet of Lieussel, holds the high altar from the parish of Torgnon, carved in wood, painted and partly gilded.

The patron saint of Chamois is Saint Pantaleon, whose liturgical date falls on 27 July, though the patronal feast is usually celebrated on the last Sunday of the month. The parish church dedicated to him, in the hamlet of Lieussel, has been rebuilt several times, the last in 1838: the high altar, carved in wood, painted and partly gilded, comes from the parish of Torgnon and holds a painting of the Immaculate Conception as well as wooden statues of Saint Pantaleon, a sainted pope and a sainted bishop.

Above the hamlet of Corgnolaz, at about 2019 metres of altitude, lies Lake Lod, reachable both on foot and by chairlift, near the hamlet of the same name.
