The patroness of Bionaz is Saint Margaret, celebrated on 20 July. The parish church dedicated to her stands in the locality of Plan-de-Veyne.
Within the municipal territory lies one of the most important artificial lakes in the whole Aosta Valley, Lake Place-Moulin, formed by the dam of the same name. The town's traditional feasts are tied to rural life: the inarpa and the désarpa, the ascent to and descent from the alpine pastures of the herds during transhumance, are celebrated with ritual festivities in May and September respectively.
