The patron saint of Spinoso is Saint Mary Magdalene, celebrated on 22 July; her chapel stands by the town cemetery.
The small town in Basilicata unusually preserves two distinct churches dedicated to Saint Roch: the church of San Rocco del Popolo, on Via San Rocco, and the church of San Rocco dei Nobili, on Via Cavour, evidence of a devotion shared yet distinct among the town's different social classes. The municipal territory also preserves the Piazza San Lorenzo and several other chapels, including that of San Michele and that of Santa Maria dei Termini, on the border with the territory of Sarconi.
