The patron saints of Capua are Saint Agatha and Saint Stephen, celebrated on 5 February.
In 1476 Ettore Fieramosca was born in Capua, the hero of the Challenge of Barletta: his old residence today serves housing functions and hosts a local health facility. In his honour, the «Fieramosca info-point» monument was created, a work by Arturo Casanova: a monumental bronze helmet, almost 9 metres tall and 6 metres in diameter, weighing 15 tonnes, whose artistic value blends with its function as an accessible info-point inside. Near the area of the ancient Fiera di Capua also stands the Church of San Lazzaro Extra Moenia, which housed one of Italy's oldest leper hospitals, later destroyed by the French in the early 19th century. The town also holds the Museo Campano and the Castello delle Pietre.
