Every year on 3 February Castel di Sasso holds the feast of its patron Saint Blaise, bishop and martyr of Sebaste, which is deeply felt: around the saint gathers the devotion of the whole town and neighbouring villages.
The tradition includes making the famous Saint Blaise biscuits and the anointing of the throat, by which the saint is asked to intercede against sore throats and every other ailment.
