The patrons of Parete are Saint Peter and Mary Most Holy of the Rotonda, celebrated on the Monday after Easter in the Church of San Pietro Apostolo and the Chapel of Maria Santissima della Rotonda.
According to local legend, the image of Mary of the Rotonda was found by a farmer in the place called «la Rotonda», precisely on Easter Monday. In the past, the feast in her honour was held at the start of autumn, at the end of the agricultural season, and involved the whole town with a Sunday procession and a brass band concert the following day; this event has not been held since the late 1990s. The town also holds the Chapel of Santa Caterina and the Parete Art Museum.
