The patron saint of Sessa Aurunca is Pope Saint Leo IX, celebrated on 8 May.
The municipality's many hamlets hold their own distinct devotions: at Cascano, a hamlet of Roman origin known especially for its ceramic craftsmanship, the Madonna della Libera is celebrated on the first Sunday of May; at Fontanaradina the patrons are the martyr saints Nazarius and Celsus, on 28 July; at Lauro, the main patronal feast instead falls on the second Sunday of May. The town also holds the rock-cut church of Santa Maria in Grotta and the Ducal Castle.
