Novafeltria celebrates Saints Peter and Paul on 29 June. The town was called Mercatino Marecchia, being a centre of trade and fairs, until 1941; it was formed in 1907 from the union of hamlets split off from the town of Talamello, and belonged to the Marche region until 15 August 2009.
