The Festa di San Lorenzo, the feast of the patron saint of Forni Avoltri, is held on 10 August with the lighting of a bonfire on Monte Tuglia and a fireworks show; the municipality holds the Chiesa di San Lorenzo Martire.
The village calendar includes, in July, the Marmor-Simposio Internazionale (international marble sculpture symposium), in which internationally renowned sculptors create works in marble extracted from the local quarries, and the Festa dei frutti di bosco (wild berry festival), on the last two Sundays of July, a sagra held since 1993 at Avoltri. In mid-August the Staffetta dei 3 rifugi is run, an international mountain running race organised since 1963 by the Unione Sportiva Collina, which touches the Tolazzi, Lambertenghi-Romanin and Marinelli huts.
