The patron of Sauris is Saint Oswald, king and martyr (sant'Osvaldo re e martire), celebrated on 5 August; the municipality holds the Chiesa di Sant'Osvaldo.
The village calendar includes the Carnevale saurano (Sauris Carnival) in February, the Festa del prosciutto (ham festival) on the second and third weekends of July, the Festa del formaggio salato (salted cheese festival) at Lateis and an international music festival in August, and the Christmas markets in December.
