Just outside the village lie the Roman remains of a small spring, and some hold that it is the one Horace addressed in an ode: the Fons Bandusiae, to which the poet, on the eve of the festival of springs, promised that thanks to his verses it would become as famous as the others sung by poets. Below Monte Cosce, moreover, stands a Roman villa that travellers from the fifteenth to the eighteenth century called precisely Horace's villa; then it was forgotten, and it was found again by chance in the nineteen-seventies during roadworks. Some forty rooms and about thirty mosaic floors have come to light.

In the parish church there is a triptych painted by the son of Antoniazzo Romano, with the three saints the village is most devoted to and the scenes of their martyrdoms. In the nineteen-eighties it was stolen, and for a quarter of a century nobody knew where it was: it came back to Vacone in 2009, recovered by the carabinieri unit that deals with cultural heritage. The mountain above the village, Monte Cosce, is not very high, but it is so massive that on clear days it can be seen from the centre of Rome.
