On 12 September Busalla celebrates the Holy Name of Mary; since 2017 the town has also hosted the Space Festival, devised by Busalla-born astronaut Franco Malerba.

Since 2017 the town has hosted a yearly Space Festival, devised by Franco Malerba, the town's own astronaut and the first Italian in space: the event, recognised by the Italian Space Agency, runs over several days at Villa Borzino.
