The patron saint of Ventimiglia is Saint Secundus, celebrated on 26 August with the characteristic gozzo boat regatta.
Since 1977 the town has hosted every year, between 6 and 14 August, the «Agosto Medievale» (Medieval August), a historical procession accompanied by a gozzo boat regatta. Among the town's other events are the White Night, held between June and July, and the «Straventimiglia» town marathon. Ventimiglia also holds the church of San Michele Arcangelo, that of Sant'Agostino and the Antiquarium of Albintimilium.
