Our Lady of the Assumption, patron of a pieve mentioned in a 1149 papal bull
📅 Every year, on 15 August
Pignone celebrates the Assumption on 15 August, in the pieve that gives the town its oldest documentary evidence, after the year 1000; a 1149 bull of Pope Eugene III extensively describes the settlement, perhaps already present in Roman times as a pagus.
