The patrons of Gandino are Saints Pontian, Flavian, Quirinus of Neuss and Valentine, celebrated on the first Sunday of July.
A particularly cherished event is the Saint Joseph Fair, held every year on the fourth Sunday of Lent; in local dialect it is called «la féra dé palpacüi». The statue of the Assumption of Mary is carried in procession every twenty-five years, to coincide with Jubilees. The town also holds Palazzo Giovanelli and the Basilica Museum of Gandino.
