The patron of Morengo is the Holy Saviour, celebrated on 6 August in the Church of the Santissimo Salvatore, and the observance is known in dialect as the festa dì söche, «of the pumpkins».
Its fair, according to an old dispute, did no harm to Bergamo, 14 miles away, in keeping with the rule that markets had to stand more than 12 miles from the city, like those of Martinengo and Romano. The town overlooks the Parco del Serio and holds the Madonna del Carpeneto.
