The patron saint of Sarezzo is Saint Faustinus, celebrated on 15 February in the Church of Santi Faustino e Giovita.
Faustinus and Jovita were two young Brescian nobles, probably brothers, who lived in the 2nd century, pursued a military career and became knights; converted to Christianity by Bishop Apollonius, they were martyred for refusing to sacrifice to the gods. They are venerated as patrons of the city and diocese of Brescia, as well as of several parishes including Sarezzo's; Saint Faustinus, in particular, is traditionally considered the patron of single people. On 27 June 1920, a clash organized by socialists against the Catholic section's feast in Sarezzo caused 5 deaths and 9 injuries, with the carabinieri intervening. The town also holds the Church of San Martino and the Church of San Bernardino.
