The patrons of Uggiate-Trevano are Saints Peter and Paul, celebrated on 19 March in the church dedicated to them, whose bell tower is among the town's most recognizable landmarks.
In the hamlet stands the Shrine of Somazzo, the destination of an ancient procession: as early as the 15th century, the faithful from the nearby Swiss canton of Ticino, especially from Riva San Vitale, would arrive crossing the Pignora pass. The shrine holds a statue of Saint Joseph from 1827 on the high altar and opens for a week in March, for the feast of Saint Joseph, and throughout September, for the feast of Our Lady of Sorrows. The town also holds Villa Natta and Palazzo Parravicini.
