The patron of Oggiono is Saint Euphemia, celebrated on 16 September in the parish church dedicated to her.
In one of the side chapels, right beneath the painting depicting the saint, the "faro" is placed — a paper balloon burned during the morning Mass in memory of her martyrdom; a procession is also held for the occasion, with stalls through the streets of the village.
