The patron of Turbigo is the Assumption of Mary, celebrated on the third Sunday of September, even though her liturgical feast falls on 15 August, in the Church of the Beata Vergine Assunta.
By an 18th-century tradition, Saint Vincent Ferrer, though his day falls on 5 April, is celebrated on the first Sunday of May, with the classic village feast of processions and exhibitions of local artists' works, continuing on the Monday with a fair in the town centre: the saint was invoked for work in the fields, since most Turbigo residents were still farmers in the early 20th century. The town also holds the Castle of Turbigo and the rope bridge.
