The patron saints of San Severino Marche are Saint Severinus and Saint Pacificus, celebrated on 8 June.
Every year, in the first two weeks of June, the Palio dei Castelli association organizes celebrations in honour of the patron: the chosen period is the 15th century, when the town was ruled by the Smeducci lordship. Good Friday and Easter Sunday also see a procession through the town's streets, holding three life-size wooden statues, including the Dead Christ and the Risen Christ, made by Venanzio Bigioli. The town holds the Castello di Pitino and the Rocca di Monte Acuto.
