The patroness of Sefro is the Madonna dell'Assunta (Assumption of Mary), celebrated on 15 August.
Every year, also on 15 August, the Sagra della Trota takes place, a popular festival with dishes and sandwiches made with trout, both fried and roasted. On the Montelago plateau, in the municipality of Sefro, the Montelago Celtic Festival was held in its early editions before moving to neighbouring municipalities.
