The patron of Castelbottaccio is San Oto, celebrated on 31 July.
The village calendar also includes 19 March, the feast of San Giuseppe (Saint Joseph), when the population gathers to eat together; 22 and 23 August, the solemnity of Santa Giusta, with a mass in the rural chapel and a torchlight procession to the village; and 25 November, Santa Caterina (Saint Catherine), with a fair through the streets of the village.
