Borgo San Martino

Province: Alessandria · Region: Piedmont · Population: 1,470 · Postal code: 15032

Borgo San Martino, Borgh-San-Martin in Piedmontese, is a comune in the province of Alessandria, pressed against the territory of Casale Monferrato and ringed for the rest by Frassineto Po, Occimiano, Pomaro Monferrato and Ticineto. Its people are called borghigiani; the name recalls Saint Martin, but the patrons are Saints Quiricus and Julitta.

The town arms are azure with a leafy tree proper rooted on a green plain, and the same blue returns in the gonfalon, a plain drape of that colour. In the village centre stands the Salesian college dedicated to Saint Charles.
