On 29 April Ticineto, a municipality of 1,424 inhabitants in the province of Alessandria, celebrates its patron San Pietro martire.
Ticineto is a village in the province of Alessandria, called Tisnèis in Piedmontese. Its arms read quickly: on a blue field a silver castle, Guelph-crenellated, with three towers.
The middle one stands higher than the others. Above the castle runs the chief, party of silver and black, with two swords crossed as in the cross of Saint Andrew. The gonfalon keeps the blue of the shield and adds red: a cloth party in the two colours.
