The patron of Volpedo is Blessed Giovannino Costa, celebrated on the second-to-last Sunday of August.
The village holds the studio of the painter Giuseppe Pellizza da Volpedo and the little square, inside the ancient castrum and in front of the Malaspina palace, where «Il Quarto Stato» (The Fourth Estate) was painted. The municipality also holds the Pieve di San Pietro, the Chiesa di San Pietro Apostolo, the Palazzo Guidobono Cavalchini Malaspina Penati and the Museo Didattico.
