Castel Boglione

Province: Asti · Region: Piedmont · Population: 614 · Postal code: 14040

Castel Boglione is a village of the Langa Astigiana, the Asti share of the Langhe, and in Piedmontese they call it Castervé. Here the vine is not one crop among others: making wine is what the place lives on, as does the country around it.

The town banner is a cloth split down the middle, blue on one side and white on the other, and pinned to it is the Medal of Merit of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George, an honour rarely seen on the flag of a village of a few hundred people.
